For some reason it never occurred to me that the holidays is when men surrender their freedom and propose until someone pointed it out to me a few days ago. It makes sense but I'm guessing the reason I never thought to think about it was because proposing at Christmas or Thanksgiving or any other holiday in November and December is sooooo unoriginal and corny and didn't think people were still doing that. (Just putting this out to the universal and that it will somehow find its way to my future hubby: small rings, ok but unoriginal proposals do not get to put a ring on this.)
